In Norfolk there are huge flat and hard sandy beaches that are ideal for galloping horses. In that area are a number of studs and they exercise their horses on it who wouldn’t like to do the same. This is set in the early morning with the spray from the fast moving hooves given a gentle blue light.
One of a series of ten studies exploring the movement of horses. The freedom that is sometimes expressed in the study reflects the loose brush and pen strokes used to create the piece. All these studies are in Indian ink on paper.
